The senate will be voting on the Ensign/Byrd amendment to the Agriculture budget.
The vote will probably be Tuesday so you have only Monday left to be heard.
This has already passed the House and if it passes the Senate, horse slaughter
ends. To find your Senator go to:

If this passes, horse slaughter will end October 31!
Call or FAX if possible as these get more attention than email and mail takes
too long. Email is better than nothing, and you can send to as many Senators
as you like (your own will pay the most attention).

If you don't do it and we lose, how will you feel? There are faxing programs
you can get for 30 day trials. I use one called Fax Machine.

Well Becky and Ramona, I guess we got heard!

Today some friends from AC4H were at the New Holland auction and the killers were buying like nothing was going to happen. We bought a registered 11 year old saddlebred mare out of the kill pens for $375! I don't know where we will put her, but just had to save one.
