I was looking at some of the older posts talking about horses from Ranch 1 in Canada and it got me interested. I know my colt is from Ranch one but I don't know which stallion is his father. I have a picture of him and his mother, a bay, maybe clyde cross/TB with a jagged, wide blaze. I have looked at the stallions there and none of them look like my boy-he is a bay like his mom but he is 3 yrs. old and 17.2+. Does anyone know which stallion is that big or throws such big babies?

Did you get cody from ranch 1 or was he already in california? I've only seen the foals at ranch 1 given numbers after the dads name and the mares number, Like..Salt colt #5

at the ranch in calif, sometimes they give them a name or shorten it like SA#5, I would think united pegasus would keep all that information maybe they could help you. But as tall as cody is and still growing, I would say Blue Boy..

Wow, your filly's baby picture looks a lot like Cody's except he has the blaze and black ermin spots on his socks. They have the exact same 3 white socks! At UPF they just said they thought he was Belgian but never indicated a stallion. I was looking at their website today and sadly, I see his mother, mare 812 is for sale.... I wish I could buy her but I already have too many for my HOA. I was thinking maybe Blue Boy too, but since they had said Belgian.... Hmmmm, I guess since he's a gelding it doesn't really matter but it is kind of nice to know so when someone asks me I could answer. The only baby picture I have is a picture printed on regular paper that they gave me at UPF. I don't know if it would scan well but he looks a lot like your filly! How big is she now?

Just came across your posts and thought I would help out. I adopted 3 horses from Ranch One, one mare and 2 foals. I obviously have 4 horses now since the mares are always bred back to the stallion.

The belgian is the sire of my foal (who is now a yearling) and the sire's name is Sirrus. I have a picture of him that I got from the website when I adopted the mare. I don't know how to attach the picture though. Anyone know how to post it?

P.S. Karen the sire you have posted is Salt (or Pepper) but your baby looks exactly like mine whose father is Sirrus - could yours be from Sirrus? I have a Salt foal as well and he looks exactly like Salt - strong genes.
