Cody was PMU breed exhibit at a local horse affair today and he was a hit!! They had a picture of him in their program and read an informational piece about PMU's. He thundered around in circles-they had me let him loose in the arena-galloping, bucking and doing a float-through-the air extended trot, then he'd wheel around and come flying right at me and do a skidding halt about 10 feet away. He also followed me around at liberty, turning on his haunches, trotting next to me, over some cross poles, etc. He is such a big puppy dog! Everyone wanted to pet him, hug him and get their picture taken with him and he was searching pockets for goodies because the vendors were giving away samples of horse treats and he knew they were there! I feel like we did a good job of promoting PMU's. People were amazed at how good looking he is, how big he is, how friendly and easy-going he is and how he barely flinched during the mounted shooting show. Several people were very interested in him and how to inquire further about PMU horses. I am soooo proud of my boy!

Dana that is great news! Cody is a wonderful representative of the PMU's. I feel that they really need some promotion, because they are really great and versatile horses, but people do not know this yet.
Cody met a mini-donkey at the horse fair too, really wanted to sniff noses so we let them and it was so cute. The donkey started braying and Cody looked very surprised!

That's awesome! Good for you, Dana, on continuing to spread the word about PMU horses It sounds like Cody did an amazing job. Wish I could have seen him out there strutting his stuff. Thanks for sharing the pic, too. I got a kick out of it.
