Hi everyone I have a PMU mare I have had 3 years, no farrier could work on her feet unless she was heavily sedated or trimmed by using cow hoof clippers with her feet on the ground. until I found a farrier who used the Noavel Headstall on her, he worked with her for 5 minutes and she stood still ground tied while he picked up one foot after another cutting digging out her hooves even filing them with the rasp....where has this guy been all my life. I have since bought this noavel headstall my self and use it when i pick her feet and rasp them my self...no pain no shock it uses pressure points to get the horses attention, she even cocks her back leg as I work wityh her wearing the headstall. I even used it on a wild 9 month old foal to teach it to lead. i am amazed and would be glad to send information about this or share information on its use to anyone interested. Find a farrier who uses it or at least let them know about it. take care everyone.
I would love to know more about it. We have 4 pmu mares and it took me almost 2 years to get 2 of them to pick up their hooves. I'm still working on the other 2. Marge
