A horse from pawing in the trailer when it is moving? I have a 6 yr old TB that is beating up my brand new trailer. It is an aluminum trailer and I am afraid he is going to dent it from the inside out. Can anyone give me any advise on how to stop this behavior? Please!!
I have a POA pony who sounds like he's coming through the side of the trailer!! But, recently I solved the problem and it might work for you horse too I got a horse treat that looks like a big, hard ball of COB grain. They sell them at my local feed store and it's under the name of someone like Dr. Bob's or something like that. Anyways, I hang it in the manger area of the trailer and he licks and bites at it the whole time, happy as a clam. When we stop now, instead of hearing ear-splitting pounding, we hear blessed silence Used to make me so anxious..... worried about his legs, the trailer, embarrassed by the looks from people in cars around us! They cost about $20 and it's well worth it. It's lasted us about 8 trips so far It even fell down once and he didn't paw!! Goodluck with your boy, I totally know how you feel. Next time I go to my feedstore, I'll get the real name.

Yes, I agree with Karen. That is what I was hoping to get from this board... feedback! Thank you so much for your idea. At this point I am willing to try anything to make him stop.
