Hi! For those of you who get Horse and Rider Magazine, there's a nice little story on the last page from a lady who adopted several PMU horses (I believe she adopted a mare and two foals). It's in the "Your Stories" section in this month's (July '08) issue. As a PMU adopter myself, I really enjoyed reading it and I think it conveys a good message about the importance of adoption. Moreover, it's a very realistic piece; adopting any rescue horse can be a challenge, and she talks about how she faced that challenge and not only saved the lives of three horses but came out with new and improved "horse skills" for herself through the process. Bravo to Horse and Rider for including this piece!

I saw this story also. I was very happy to see it and how she felt about the adoptions and her adoptees! It is just nice to see that people are taking time to share the PMU experience.

I haven't seen this story, will have to hunt down the magazine. Do you know who wrote it? Sounds a lot like my story from what you have written.
