I reciently adopted a Pmu filly from United Pegasus. She has exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recomend the current foal crop from ranch 1. She was fat as a tick. very clean, very alert and easy going. She is aprox 5 1/2 months old and for a horse to have been all the places she has I am amazed at how easily she adjusts. We met the transport drivers on a sunday morning at a truck stop and did a rig to rig transfer. It was nerve racking but she made it easy. Just went along with what ever was needed. no halters., brought her home 100 miles and opened the trailer doors she went right into her stall and we closed her in. She then tried to climb out so we had to keep upping the boards on the walls till she found her limit. after that she was fine. A little insecure but by Monday night I was able to halter her after 1/1/2 hrs of talking and petting. 1 -1/2 weeks later she has 2 new friends, comes and goes to her acre paddock / stall combo. and I can take the wheelbarrow into the stall with her and pick right around her feet with out flinching. She is still very much a baby so we are careful but having had 4 Arab babies she is very good. anyone not sure what they want go to the site and pick 1 of the remainig foals. They are going to be big horses but are very sweet. The agency and drivers were a pleasure to work with. Sorry I could not take more --- YET. working on that one. I believe the rancher must have taken great pride in these foals. She was cleaner when she got here than now....Oh and she likes men in baseball caps. She is a Birch filly bay and white. Have picture for anyone interested.

Yes she is birch #5, That is kinda funny, I know there was another salt blk and white sex chanege in the Pa load. Well at least you don't have to geld anything. Was yours a bay? My son named her Christy. 2 of the Arabs are fine with her but the other 2 want to eat her. Hey I have a shepherd female named Tonka! I have offered to foster some of the foals there but They can't do that yet. My door is always open. This ranch was like a soap opera. I have several friends that didn't believe I would do this. I have 1 friend who wants to adopt her mother and have the baby here next year. I am hoping after the hollidays she will. She is addicted to the site ,is very sensible and still looks. Send e- mail and will send pictures,
Tks, Wendy

Just wanted to let you folks who got your foals from ranch one that yes they will be big! I got a filly from ranch one that was from Blueboy last year. She is now 18 months and 14.3 hands. Bella's picture is somewhere on one of these threads. She has changed so much over the past year. Her personalility still amazes me. Have fun and enjoy the little ones, it doesn't last long!

For karenc. My filly seems to have this waxy substance in her fur. she is sorta like a duck.
I don't remember my other babies (arabs) haveing this. Does yours have it too? is it a draft horse thing?? She came with it.
Thanks,
Wendy

Wendy, sorry I can't help you with your waxy problem, My filly doesn't have it. There seems to be a few other members that were lucky enough to get ranch 1 foals, maybe they might know.
I can't get over how sweet my foal is! she is the bay, the picture didn't do her justice. She has a large star and snip. she has a real pretty head, I can't get over how tall she is!
