Hi,
I'm so glad I found this site! I am in Southern Cal. and adopted a PMU yearling colt (belgian/clyde/TB) from Ranch 1 in Canada about 2 1/1 yrs ago. I actually got him through United Pegasus Foundation. He'll be 4 in June. I am so glad I decided to adopt him instead of getting a horse I could ride right away. Raising him has been the best experience. He came halter broke but otherwise, very terrified of people. We would herd him into a stall and then he would let you catch him. Within a week of getting him home and being tempted by goodies and gentle scratches from my 3 girls and me, he decided we were pretty cool and has been in our pockets ever since! He was 14.3 at 11 mos. so I guess I should've known he'd get big!! He's now 17.2 and still growing. According to the knee to pastern measurement, he should reach 18 hds. I'm in the market for a new horse trailer as my 3 horse slant can't carry him anymore..... We ponied him allover and at 2 started saddling him up. We would occasionally put one of the kids up there and he really didn't care Smiler He is so easy-going and he is soooooo beautiful. I have ridden him about 6 times on trail now, taking it very slow. He dumped me once but it was my fault, didn't lunge him first and he just felt good and did a couple wahoos! Then he looked at me like "What are you doing down there!!" He makes the other people's horses look like ponies! I love him so much and highly recommend PMU adoption.

your horse is beautiful, and looks alot like my ranch 1 percheron cross she'll be 2 in june. I have to agree with you, adopting her from united pegasus has been very rewarding. I hope she gets as big as your boy.
Cody looks so kind and happy! have fun!

Wow! They really do look a lot alike. I was told he was TB/Belgian and have been told since that he looks like he has some Clyde in there but your filly really looks like him! He really grew a lot after 2. He has a lot of bone but he's well proportioned and can really move nicely. She's beautiful!
