Wyeth wants to regain control of the menopause "treatment" market. One of their new drugs will be called Pristiq, and according to this article, it is a reformulation of Wyeth's very profitable antidepressant, Effexor.

So far it sounds like this is a non-hormonal menopause drug, which means that no horses are involved.

The other new drugs mentioned, Viviant and Aprela, do sound like they contain hormones made from horse urine.
