Today, UAN and PMURescue.org were featured in an article about the need for more horse adopters following a decline in the number of horses needed by Wyeth to create their hormone replacement drugs, Premarin and Prempro. The article discusses how health concerns over the use of these drugs have caused a dramatic decrease in the amount of women taking them. This has in turn led Wyeth to cancel contracts with many of the horse ranches that were supplying them with the pregnant horse urine necessary to create the medications.
