Hi.

I’m new here, my name is Jess *waves*

I’m heading a campaign here in Australia, more specifically Perth, to have all PMU lines removed from the shelves.
A big ask you say? Yes we are well aware of that.

At present the general public has no idea that this is actually going on.
I have had even non-horsie people from America and Canada speak with me about the atrocities in the PMU industry, but well known horse people in Australia have no idea what I’m talking about.

I feel that with Wyeth getting such bad press atm (FDA petition and all) that now would be an ideal time.

I’m trying to arrange the website, brochures, street team and media coverage to coincide with each other (ahhh twitch, whimper) but living so far away I still have a few questions I need cleared up. It’s proving to be very difficult to get replies from people (the UAN were the only response I have received).

Could you guys (you all seem so knowledgeable) please, please, please, help me out by answering some simple questions?

Out of all of the farms which collect PMU, are any of them using free range systems? I know there are some free range systems available and although not a perfect solution (I would rather see it wiped out completely) is at least a step in the right direction.

How significant a win is it that one of the plants has been shut down? Are there lots of other plants or is that it now, no more Premarin - yeah right.

Does anybody have any good photos I can use? I already have some great ones, but the more the better.

Thankyou very much for reading my loooong post and helping me out. Wink
