I just added a page to my local wiki on disaster planning for pets. You can view it at http://daviswiki.org/Disaster_Planning_for_Pets. Wiki is a great way to spread the word in your local community. I used all UAN and EARS information to set up the content.

Oops. I need to clarify with UAN which disaster preparedness materials can be used verbatim (including website content) as we as EARS volunteers do our outreach in our communities. I need to post this question to the EARS forums, too. But the wiki use still stands - you can adapt a locality-specific disaster preparedness page for your local wiki.

That sounds a bit like what I'm doing at tabling events. I have just one question: What's Wiki? I wrote a two part artical on Emergency Preparedness for pets that was printed in our local freebe dog owner's magazine, and I have copies of that artical and a list of local resources that I compiled that I have xeroxed and hand out at pet events.

Hi - a wiki is a community resource website that anyone can add to or edit. For an example, check out the wiki for my local community, daviswiki.org. It is the same idea like wikipedia, which is an encyclopedia that anyone can add entries to. The idea is that if enough people are monitoring it, the information will be accurate. It can be a great local resource, and they are popping up in many communities.
