This poll is a good idea, but it needs a little refinement.

Question 1: Instead of mutually exclusive radio buttons, these should be check boxes. The nature of the disaster may be such that I could avail myself of any of those choices. The "I don't know" choice could be made to un-check the other choices and be a single answer unto itself.

Question 3: Again, mutually exclusive choices here may not be appropriate. I have multiple kits in multiple places.

Question 4: Oops. This is very cat-dog centric. What about parrots (equal or greater in population in the US to cats)? Parrots don't wear tags, are not required to have leg bands (of little use in identification and a safety hazard), and while they can be microchipped, some birds are too small for this. In my preparedness classes, I stress the need for identification, especially PHOTOGRAPHS in lieu of any other method. None of the answers for Question 4 are appropriate for my birds. Add "Photograph" to the list, or at least "Other."

I have to agree that the poll questions are much too limited. Also, I feel that it is directed towards middle/upper class. I say this because I, along with thousands of others, live on the Gulf Coast, low to no income, and have no transportation to evacuate. We choose to go down with our pets rather than leave them. Too bad there isn't a shuttle service for our pets.
