According to the facts and figures there have been several unofficial reports of fatal infections in domestic cats from 2003 to 2004 in Asia. In Netherlands, in 2004 there was an article published that stated that housecats could be infected with avian influenza A (H5N1) and could spread the virus to other housecats……these shocking news have shaken me since their has been a recent outbreak of avian influenza in 2007. I fear that my little cats can contract these diseases. I have read a lot of dreadful news on http://www.drugdelivery.ca/bird-flu.aspx which are stating that many animals have contracted this disease. I never had the habit of enclosing my pets within the house….I have always allowed them to roam freely on the roads….so I fear that they might be contaminated with the virus…..do you think that such probability do exist?

I would think where you live might have alot to do with potential problems. I've never heard of letting cats wander on a road. Where do you live?
