---------------------------------- The California State Specialized Training Institute (CSTI) will be holding ICS 300 and ICS 400 training in Sacramento, Jan 6-9, 2009 and in Temecula on Apr 7-10, 2009. This training is FREE and qualifies as elective courses for individuals seeking to complete the Governor's Office of Emergency Services - Emergency Management Specialist Training Certificate Program. Course Description: This four-day class is designed for emergency response personnel who are required by the National Incident Management System (NIMS) to complete the I-300 and I-400 levels of ICS to be in compliance. The curriculum used in the course is recognized by the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG), the California Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS), and the NIMS Integration Center (NIC). This course focuses on ICS activities during major incidents at the field level and is NOT a train-the trainer course. Topics Include (but not limited to):
